Love Who You Are. It’s a bright red sign that greets you when you walk in the door. Then there’s the skeleton named Joe - ironically standing and smiling next to a poster labeled Return to Life, looking pretty cheeky about his own witty humor. In this room you learn Pilates, a practice that integrates the mind to uniformly develop the body, focusing on flexibility, strength and alignment. Melissa is your teacher, and she is both gentle and kind in the way she guides you to believe in your own breath and your own strength. Dig deep. Hold strong. Trust that you CAN. This is Melissa’s home studio and you can see - you can FEEL - that she lives and loves here, surrounded by her family and managing a business, being a mom, and all that juggling stuff we do. It feels relatable to be here, which I’m loving because I’m thinking I’m going to need a lot of instruction to be able do these exercises someday. Wherever you are in your fitness journey and the space you are making for self care, it’s worth it to give her a call and find out how Pilates can help you.
