When I was growing up my dad used to take me on errands and would always tell me we were headed to Mankato. Whether they were or weren’t, all the errands were in Mankato. I spent yeeeeeaaars telling people we lived near Mankato…..until someone finally informed me it was a town from Little House on the Prairie.
